Florida town invites all couples to renew vows on sugar-white sands
Valentine’s Day may have come and gone this year, but the charming coastal town of Mexico Beach, Florida, is brimming with love! The Mexico Beach Community Development Council (CDC) is busy planning its 2016 Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony to be held on the beach near Sunset Park on April 16. Last year’s event saw nearly 20 couples who had previously been married in Mexico Beach renewing their lasting promises before friends, family and a spectacular sunset on the Gulf of Mexico.
This year, the shared Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony will be even bigger, as the CDC invites all married couples, whether they tied the knot in Mexico Beach or elsewhere, to enjoy a trip to the beach and take part in the ceremony. It will be followed by a complimentary reception with refreshments, cupcakes and music; family and friends are invited. The CDC asks that all couples who wish to participate kindly RSVP using the form located at MexicoBeach.com/weddings/wedding-vow-renewal-2016.
“The first annual Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony with couples originally married in the Mexico Beach area was a magical event,” said Melissa Williams, director of visitor services for the Mexico Beach CDC. “Several couples strolled down to the beach to say ‘I do’ again with the romantic backdrop of the sun setting on the Gulf. This year, we will once more help couples create a perfect unforgettable moment on The Unforgettable Coast.”
