Happy Birthday, America! Celebrate Independence Day in Mexico Beach with the Best Blast on the Beach, an unforgettable Fourth of July fireworks spectacular. The dazzling display will light up the night sky beginning at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, with fireworks launched from the beach near the intersection of Highway 386 and Highway 98 (near the county line). With miles of pristine shoreline, you’ll enjoy a spectacular view from just about anywhere along the beach.

A big thank you to Special Events for Mexico Beach, Inc. for bringing this incredible show to life. Gather your friends and family, bring your blankets and chairs, and let’s celebrate Independence Day with a bang in Mexico Beach! All times listed are in Central Time.

Important Safety, Parking & Traffic Information: 

To ensure the safety of all spectators, several temporary parking, beach access, and traffic restrictions will be in place:

• Public roadside parking along Highway 98 between Sea Street and Highway 386 will close on the evening of July 2 and remain closed until after the fireworks display on July 4. This area serves as the designated fireworks fallout zone.
• The beach surrounding the fireworks launch site will be closed to the public beginning July 2 and will remain closed through the conclusion of the fireworks display on July 4. The restricted area will reopen only after the Fire Department has determined it is safe.
• Highway 98 between Sea Street and Highway 386 will close beginning at approximately 8:00 p.m. on July 4 and will remain closed until the fireworks display has concluded and the area is safe to reopen. Traffic will be redirected during this time.
• All closures and safety zones are subject to change at the direction of the Sheriff and Fire Department based on public safety needs.

Mexico Beach is a Leave No Trace Beach. Please adhere to the Leave No Trace Ordinance and kindly remove all your belongings, including trash, with you at the end of your beach stay.
