The town was officially incorporated in 1967, following post-war growth sparked by the completion of Highway 98 and the establishment of Tyndall Air Force Base. Tenacity has always been at the heart of Mexico Beach’s history, shaping it into a close-knit community renowned for preserving its small-town charm and hospitality to generations of returning visitors.
