Winter Resident’s Coffee Donuts

The Mexico Beach Welcome Center rolls out the red carpet for all Mexico Beach winter residents (aka Snowbirds)!. Enjoy complimentary coffee and donuts every Friday morning in February for those who’ve made Mexico Beach your vacation destination. Whether you’re staying for just a week, or several months, all are invited.

Mexico Beach Gumbo Cook-Off

Local chefs – professional and novice – compete for the “Best Gumbo” and coveted bragging rights along with cash prizes. If gumbo is not your style, there is still plenty of fun to have with live entertainment, Mardi Gras flair, hot dogs, desserts, and beverages. All proceeds benefit Mexico Beach’s Best Blast on the Beach July 4th fireworks show.

Meet the artists, see their work, enjoy light refreshments and possibly buy an original piece of art. Artists will have their work on display and will be discussing why they selected the subject for their painting. Enjoy the rest of the Forgotten Coast en Plein Air event throughout the week.

Annual Photography Contest

If you love Mexico Beach & taking photos, then the Annual Photography Contest is the perfect time to showcase your talent. Discover Mexico Beach welcomes all photographs taken in Mexico Beach, FL, whether from past adventures or recent visits. All submissions need to be in by July 31st for a chance to place in the contest, and be featured in the Discover Mexico Beach  Annual Calendar.

Unforgettable Wedding Vow Renewal

Join the us, in Mexico Beach, to celebrate generations of love with a special complimentary vow renewal ceremony. After the ceremony, celebrate to your love with complimentary cupcakes and bubbles from the Mexico Beach Community Development Council. Each couple must register to participate. GollyWhopper Classic

This exciting fishing tournament features competition for both adult and youth divisions. The Captain’s Party kicks off Friday evening with live music and free food. Cash prizes are awarded, and all proceeds benefit the Mexico Beach Fire Department’s community programs.

Start off your Independence Day with the Sandy Shoes 5K Fun-Run and end the day with the Best Blast on the Beach Firework Show. The Best Blast on the Beach Firework Show begins at 8:30PM and you’ll have a perfect view from any spot along our pristine beaches. Spend the rest of the day enjoying the beach and spending time with friends and family.

MBARA Kingfish Tournament

When: July
Where: Mexico Beach Boat Ramp Park

The Mexico Beach Artificial Reef Association’s flagship fundraising event draws hundreds of anglers each year.  This tournament features a Friday Captain’s Party with food and door prizes, followed by Saturday fishing competition with cash prizes. All registration fees support artificial reef construction and marine habitat conservation.

Music in the Park

Festive live music at Parker Park every Thursday in September. Enjoy performances by talented local musicians and area favorites, all while soaking in the vibrant evening skies of Mexico Beach. These family-friendly concerts are free and open to the public, so grab your blankets, chairs, and picnic baskets for a relaxing night out. Leashed pets are welcomed in the park.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and Mexico Beach is transforms into a magical holiday paradise! A festive golf cart parade kicks off the evening that wanders throughout Mexico Beach and  finishes at Parker Park. The countdown begins, the tree is lit, and then Santa joins the festivities! Event goers can enjoy music, hot cocoa, cookies, and more!
